PRP for Hair Loss
PRP/Selphyl® for hair loss
Overview
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an exciting non-surgical therapeutic option for patients who suffer from hair loss conditions, including thinning hair and male-pattern hair loss, which can affect both men and women. The PRP is injected into the scalp in areas of hair loss, and growth factors released by platelets then stimulate natural healing processes and growth of hair follicles.

Patients may choose to have PRP therapy performed every 1–3 months, as early data suggest regular PRP treatments may stimulate hair growth. The total number of treatments depends on the extent of hair loss.
